Kym is a multidisciplinary stage director, writer and producer.  She has directed plays off-Broadway and in regional theatres including SoHo Rep, La MaMa ETC; New Dramatists, Penumbra Theatre, HereArts Center, The Women’s Project, Boston Center for the Arts, Urban Stages, CAP 21, The Workshop Theatre and StageWest. She is an associate member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers, as well as the Lincoln Center Theater Director’s Lab.   

CURRENT PROJECTS

Time’s Up! is an exploration of love, history, reincarnation and the ties that bind. Combining visual media, sound, movement and text to demonstrate the ways in which history, physics and metaphysics inform the complex dimensions of “relationship” and “love.”

Kym continues to collaborate with composer, Andy Hertz, on his new musical song cycle: 20/20 which is going into its third workshop in April 2012. Featured artists include: Ned Riseley and Brian Cross.

Kym is directing two new plays for the Harvard University Advanced Playwriting Festival April 19, 2012. She is also directing a solo piece about the plight of Congolese Refugees on April 12, at the Johnson & Wales Culinary Institute in Cranston, RI.

Kym will direct Yermedea by Erik Ehn in collaboration with Puppet Artist: Alejandra Prieto Garcia, Artistic Director of The Winged Cranes Performance Company in Madrid, Spain at La MaMa ETC November 5-19, 2012
